Punto again

(60512 miles)
No break down at all.
Few new dents and 2 scratches (useless drivers)
Squeaky rattly noise coming from drivers side rear drum just shown up.
Mounted set of alloys finnaly. Got rid of kerbing, but paintwork on wheels
is really poor. That way or another I'm going to get id of em as I want to
bring back factory spec.

Bad Xmas

It all started before Xmas.
First bad sign- puncture.
Sorted quickly.
And now it's getting really nasty.
Today I found door key scratch along drivers window!
Well, whoever that was, knew how to get me upset.
We'll see what next...

"New" wheels...

On Sunday bought set with tyres for 45GBP.
Started refurbishing them about 1 hour a day.
First one almost done. Looks better now :)

Another weekend...

Like usually, we started with beer :)
Then we take on the job. In about an hour we've made van out of Punto.
Seats, panels, carpet even spare wheel was lying on the side walk.
Then bodywork (little dents-1 on drivers side, 3 on passenger side).
Working our sweat off with lousy effort. We still had a beer, so decided
to put it back to one piece and paint brakes.



Today
Headed to Shell petrol station (V-power) and then 4 a little trip.
Newbury- calm and nice, but nothing special and as it was close
Donnington Castle (well, rest of it)
Of course weather was S**T

Fuel Economy

So, little test has ended.
Driving mainly in the city fuel economy was
jumpin' between 38mpg and 50mpg.
So it's 44mpg on average.
I'm very pleased
especialy, because the way I drive:)

Damage

I was taking about crash and damage
and here it is...
(Still temp repair)

Next weekend...

Saturday
Got up at 10 and repaired bumper (just 4 now, till new one will arrive)
and set up headlight.

Sunday
Went to see Stonehenge.
150 miles covered today, what took about half tank of fuel...
Think it's good- about 48 mpg!!!

Monday and very f****d Tuesday...

After working hours
I visited a petrol station.
Full tank for 40GBP- nice!

Crap Tuesday (58320)
Got up late and went to work.
Was going about 40mph.
Saw 4x4 about 100 meters away,
no brake lights. Look in the mirror,
look back on the road, and brake,
brake, brake!
After 50 metres of braking we ended
our trip with tow bar in bumper.
So bumper is badly cracked- planing
to repair in two weeks.


To make in worst on the way home someone tried to overtake me on a roundabout.
And as "I got in his way" he was acting like a psycho- following me for all the way
(almost to my house). Scared d**n out of me.
And finally in my workshop I almost cut off my finger by a razor blade.
God what a day!
I hate Tuesdays!!!

Crazy Sunday

I got up at 8.00 am and went to car wash...
Washed car inside out, including carpets and seats.
It took 5 (five) hours!!! But price was good- 25GBP.
After that time has come to find audio.
As everythin' was closed I went to Halfords and
got myself (actually I was a gift from my wife :* ) brand new JVC mp3 :D
Instaled it -and surprise!
My Punto has 6 speakers and they play really nice and clean.
Anyway I'm goin' to replace them by Fli or Rockford Fosgete.
At the end of the day I waxed my ride.
Mhh... Shiny!

From begining

After I bought a Omega V6 and then sold it.
After long searching.
After suffering in public transport.
Time has come...
On Saturday I finally bought my Punto.
It's 1999 V reg. Sporting 16V in Red.
Totally original with 58261 miles on the clock.
